ENSINO DE GEOGRAFIA E CIÊNCIAS DA COMUNICAÇÃO: por uma geografia mundana (geography and communication sciences: for an earthly geography)
Abstract
O artigo discute as possibilidades de relacionar o ensino de geografia e aos desafios da cultura da mídia e suas práticas de formação externa ao ambiente escolar. Faz uma crítica aprofundada das restrições disciplinares do conhecimento geográfico, propondo uma postura mais aberta ao intercâmbio com saberes do senso comum, jornalismo e turismo. Apresenta também um conjunto de exemplos que contribuem para reverter os discursos e comportamentos educacionais que tendem a manter a barreira entre a escola e seu entorno; Convida o leitor ao reconhecimento de que as ciências da comunicação educam e formam cidadãos de forma mais eficientes que os trabalhos pedagógicos muito fechados.

The article argues the possibilities to relate geography education and to the challenges of the culture of the practical media and its of external formation to the pertaining to school environment. It makes a critical one gone deep of the restrictions to discipline of the geographic knowledge, considering an opened position more to the interchange with knowing of the common sense, journalism and tourism. It also presents an educational set of examples that contribute to revert the speeches and behaviors that tend to keep the barrier between the school and it’s the outskirts; The reader to the recognition invites of that the communications sciences educate and form citizens of form more efficient than very closed the pedagogical works.
