INDÚSTRIAS CULTURAIS E FAIXA DE FRONTEIRA NO BRASIL MERIDIONAL (cultural industries and border line in Southern Brazil)
Abstract

ABSTRACT
The paper says about the experience of Borderlands in Southern Brazil deals with the activities made by cultural industries. We have researched issues of discursivity network communication from a territory that includes part of the actual border line, but, due to successive historical demarcations, these areas have had its limits redesigned in various moments. The current knowledge available about this question is restricted, though. The present perspective shows the Borderlands of Southern Brazil as a buffer zone and depreciates its society’s capacity of communication. Thus, understanding its border condition acclaims them only through the point of view of national security areas, its communicational development would have been constrainted. The Borderlands in Southern Brazil are a solid empirical reference that will theoretically maintain the communicational development of the Brazilian borderline as a whole. Overall, according to the references these hybrid characteristics anticipate the issue of globalization itself.
