Abstract

Este artigo traça uma brevíssima biobibliografia de Milton Santos. Em seguida, a partir de alguns elementos da filosofia de Heidegger, Sartre, Ortega y Gasset e da complexidade, infere reflexões sobre as raízes da geografia miltoniana com o intuído de discutir sua epistemologia (existencial) do sul.

ABSTRACT

This article provides a very brief Milton Santos’s bibliography. After that, from some philosophical elements of Heidegger, Sartre, Ortega and Gasset and the complexity, bring thoughts about the miltoniana geography roots aiming argue its south’s epistemology (existential).

RESUMEN

En este artículo se proporciona una breve bibliografia de Milton Santos. Después de que, a partir de algunos elementos filosóficos de Heidegger, Sartre, Ortega y Gasset y la complejidad, trae reflexiones acerca de las raízes de la geografía miltoniana y tiene el intuito de discutir su epistemología (existencial) desde el sur.

Doutor em Geografia Humana na Universidade de São Paulo, com estágio Doutoral realizado junto à École Normale Supérieure de Paris. Atualmente é professor Associado I da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. Desenvolve pesquisas nas aéras de Geografia e complexidade, geografia da saúde e DinâmicasTerritorias, tendo como suporte de análise a Teoria da Geografia Nova desenvolvida por MIlton Santos.
