O MOVIMENTO DOS SEM TERRA E SUA SIGNIFICAÇÃO
Abstract
O presente artigo analisa a questão da terra no Brasil, desde o período colonial até o surgimento do MST, ressaltando seus enfrentamentos e conquistas. Tratando do MST, em sua luta pela Reforma Agrária, indica quadro quantitativo e qualitativo relacionados às ocupações de terra no Brasil e aos assentamentos rurais implantados nas últimas décadas do século XX. Desta forma, apresenta o MST, associado a outros movimentos, como modelo compatível com a reformulação de uma realidade desigual de distribuição de terra adotada pelo colonizador e mantida pela elite dominante e autoridades com ela coniventes.

ABSTRACT
The article analyzes the problematic of land in Brazil, from the colonial period until the apparition of the “MST”, in the 20 th century, showing its read and conquests. Taking in account the “MST”, in its batle for agrariam reforms and farming sitting, it indicates a quantitatif setting and qualitative bound to the occupancy of land in Brazil. Of this way, it presents the “MST”, bound to other movements, as the compatible model with the reformulation of an unequaled reality of land employee distribution, started by the colonizer and continued by the economic, political and legal authorities and dominating elite.
