MONBEIG, PAISAGEM E GEOGRAFIA ESTIGMÁTICA
Abstract
O artigo mostra como Monbeig – formado na Escola Francesa de Geografia e um dos fundadores da geografia científica brasileira – pensa a Geografia e como, a partir da análise da paisagem, elabora a noção de “complexo geográfico” e amplia o conhecimento desta ciência para além da descrição. Defende a posição de que Monbeig enriqueceu a sua análise em função do contato com a realidade brasileira na medida em que sente as limitações do modelo regional aplicado a um país como o Brasil dos anos trinta.

ABSTRACT
The article shows how Monbeig – formed in the French School fo Geography and one of the fondeurs of the scientific Brazilian Geography - thinks the Geography and as, starting from its analyzes of landscape , elaborates the notion of “geographical complex” and enlarges the knowlege fo this science for besides the description. The article defends position that Mombeig enriched yours analyzes on the contact with the Brazilian reality in the measure he sits downs the regional model when applied to Brazil during the thirties of XX th century.
