GEOMORPHOLOGY OF THE VOLCANIC PIEDMONT OF THE CERROS ZURQUÍ
Abstract
An analysis of the geomorphological dynamics of the areas between the communities of Valencia and San Isidro de Heredia through field studies, analysis of aerial photographs and thematic mapping was performed. Geomorphological mapping provides the representation of the land forms a genetic explanation, combinig the graphic expression of the structural, lithological and tectonic setting of rocks with the results of modeling weathering agents.Geomorphological maps, in addition to explaining how landforms originated, should indicate their chronological sequence, especially distinguishing forms being developed at the time moment, those that are inherited.
