Abstract

O autor oferece uma visão geral sobre a Geografia do desenvolvimento alemã, o novo paradigma que surgiu da Geografia dos países em desenvolvimento. Ele mostra suas teorias principais e suas dimensões econômicas, sociais, políticas e culturais. Sua abordagem da vulnerabilidade compreende conceitos/teorias de livelihoods e de direitos de propriedade, do desenvolvimento fragmentador, da ecologia política, da pesquisa sobre hazards e da pesquisa global do meio ambiente.

ABSTRACT
The author offers an overview of German Development Geography, the new paradigm which emerged from the Geography of Development Countries. He shows its main theories and its economic, social, political and cultural dimensions. His vulnerability approach includes concepts/theories of livelihoods and entitlements, of Fragmenting Development, Political Ecology, Hazard Studies and Global Environmental Research.

RESUMEN
El autor ofrece una visión general sobre la Geografía del desarrollo alemana, el nuevo paradigma que surgió de la Geografía de los países en desarrollo. Él muestra sus teorías principales y sus dimensiones económicas, sociales, políticas y culturales. Su abordaje de la vulnerabilidad comprende conceptos/teorías de livelihoods y de derechos de propiedad, del desarrollo fragmentador, de la ecología política, de la investigación sobre hazards y de la investigación global del medio ambiente.
