ALTERAÇÕES CLIMÁTICAS DECORRENTES DE MUDANÇAS NO USO DA TERRA MEDIANTE SENSORIAMENTO REMOTO (climate change due to changes in land use byremote sensing)
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Remote sensing makes it possible to identify land-use changes in several biomes on Earth, particularly by analyzing radiation and energy balances components. Some of these components provide important information on the management of rural areas in Brazil, particularly due to the large geographical size of this country. This research covers Mogi-Guaçu - SP and Lower Jaguaribe – CE basins and its main objective is to evaluate climate change promoted by replacement of primary vegetation by agricultural crops with the Surface Energy Balance Algorithm for Land - SEBAL. TM - Landsat 5 images covering the two basins in 2005 and 2006 years were used in this study. Thematic maps of albedo, land surface temperature, vegetation indices, net radiation - Rn, soil heat flux, sensible heat flux, latent heat flux and daily evapotranspiration - ETr were derived from SEBAL. Micrometeorological data collected in three towers located in these basins were used to validate the SEBAL.
Key words: Radiance, reflectance, albedo, sensible heat, latent heat.
