EVENTOS PLUVIMÉTRICOS INTENSOS E IMPACTOS GERADOS NA CIDADE DE CURITIBA/PR - BAIRRO CAJURU: um destaque para as inundações urbanas (intense rainfall events and generated impacts in the Curitiba city/PR – Cajuru neighborhood: emphasis on urban flooding)
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This article is about the intensive pluviometric events and the consequent impacts occurred in Cajuru, Curitiba city, in areas with inundation risks located on the shore of Atuba river. The theoretical-metodological bases used in this analysis is from the Urban Climate System by Monteiro (1976, 2003), through the perception channel of the meteorical impact – hydrodynamic subsystem - valuing the most intensive episodes. Acfcording to the results of the research is was observed an increase in the number of similar pluviometric events and higher than 60mm/24h in the lastest decades. The registers on the news about the impacts also raised, which may be indicating an intensification of the problem reaching a larger number of places and people because of the mpliation, in large scale, of risky areas.
Key words: Urban climate, intensive pluviometric events, urban inundations
