A SUSTENTABILIDADE AMBIENTAL URBANA A PARTIR DE UMA PERSPECTIVA ESPACIAL: o caso das cidades da Amazônia brasileira (the urban environmental sustainability from a spatial perspective: the case of the cities of the brazilian Amazon)
Abstract
A sustentabilidade ambiental urbana, se concebe como um atributo sistêmico dos espaços, paisagens e territórios, considerados como sistemas ambientais. É partindo desta premissa que se considera o desenvolvimento urbano sustentável, como um modelo que pode ser considerado a partir de diversas interpretações político-ideológicas. Na América Latina, predominaram os processos de insustentabilidade urbana, pois se considerava o meio natural como um receptáculo capaz de ser dominado pela dependência da vontade humana. É ainda mais evidente a insustentabilidade urbana na Amazônia brasileira, dada a fragilidade intrínseca dos sistemas ambientais, e a tendência na região a construção de modelos completamente distantes da dinâmica social e natural inerente a estes sistemas. A construção de sociedades sustentáveis na Amazônia brasileira,passa não somente por um processo de incorporação da sustentabilidade ambiental como também por processos de desenvolvimento urbano, senão e por sobre tudo mudanças estruturais, econômicas, sociais e ambientais.

ABSTRACT
The urban ambient sustainable, conceives as a systemic attribute of the spaces, landscapes and territories, considered as ambient systems. It is leaving of this premise that if considers the sustainable urban development, as a model that can be considered from diverse politician-ideological interpretations. In Latin America, the processes of urban insustentabilidade had predominated, therefore if it considered the natural way as receptáculo capable to be dominated by the dependence of the will human being. The urban insustentabilidade in the Brazilian Amazônia, given the intrinsic fragility of the ambient systems, and the trend in the region is still more evident the construction of completely distant models of inherent the social and natural dynamics to these systems. The construction of sustainable societies in the Brazilian Amazônia, not only passes for a process of incorporation of the ambient susteinable as well as for processes of urban development, over all and for above all structural, economic, social and ambient changes.
