RECONSTRUÇÃO DE TERRITÓRIOS E IDENTIDADE: um olhar sobre Jericoacoara – Ceará (reconstruction of territories and identity: a look at Jericoacoara - Ceará)

The present work is developed within this touristic impact context, and its aim is to discuss how the traditional populations of Jericoacoara seek to reconstruct their territory and identity through the possession and use of the ground with actions that increase their self-esteem. The text refers to Jericoacoara before the advent of tourism as well as in a touristic context, highlighting local populations´ actions to reconstruct their territory and identity, considering the possession and use of the ground the basis for achieving this target. Observing the fact that in various spheres, particularly in economic and cultural, tourism nurtured significant changes in the daily lives of the traditional populations of Jericoacoara, in my point of view, actions that lead to the organization of these populations are essential mechanisms to help them face this new reality achieving thus social inclusion and a decrease in cultural losses.
Key words: Tourism, Daily routines, Social inclusion.
