ENSAIO SOBRE RENOVAÇÕES RECENTES NA GEOGRAFIA HUMANA (essay on recent renewal in Human Geography)
Abstract

ABSTRACT
The paper presents innovations that occurred in the epistemology of Human and Cultural Geography in the last fifty years. In order to do this, changes in the concept of space, changes due to several theoretical proposals that caused both rejection and adoption, were analyzed. Innovations are seen here not as excluding the previous ones, but as proposals that are recycled and transformed, acquiring new meanings, applications and purposes, since they are subjected to critical appraisal as time - with its academic, cultural, social, technological, etc changes- goes on. Specifically, the relationship between the geographical space and the relative spaces are discussed, and it is made evident that both concepts are of central importance to the Geographical Thought.
