EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL: pertencer e cuidar da teia da vida (environmental education: to belong and to take care of the web of life)
Abstract
A humanidade está agora consciente do impacto que as mudanças climáticas podem provocar na vida humana. Ou deveria estar, pois não há como descer do planeta em movimento na sua jornada cósmica. E se pudesse descer, para onde iríamos? Só esta reflexão bastaria para nos remeter à noção de pertencimento à teia da vida no Planeta Terra..., à necessidade de cuidado com cada um dos elementos que compõem essa teia: mantendo o ciclo da água em qualidade e quantidade; conservando o solo, sua integralidade física e biológica; mantendo o ar em sua pureza e condições de renovação; olhando para cada aspecto da natureza como único; apreciando sua beleza e singularidade; orientando toda a intervenção no espaço territorial para o cuidado ambiental; implantando atividades produtivas com responsabilidade ambiental e social; desenvolvendo tecnologias apropriadas à natureza, à comunidade e sua cultura , adequadas à vida. A questão é: se já sabemos de tudo isso porque não fazemos? O que nos impede de agirmos em conformidade com o que sabemos intelectualmente? O que gera essa inércia que barra a mudança de mentalidade que leve a sustentação da vida ser algo prioritário?

ABSTRACT
The humanity is now aware of the impact that the climatic changes can provoke in the human life. Or it should be, since there is no way of going down of the planet in movement in his cosmic journey. And what if we could go down? Where would we go to? This reflection only, would be enough to send us to the notion of belonging to the web of the life in Earth planet ..., to the need of caring with each and every single element that compose this web: maintaining the water cycle in quality and quantity; preserving the soil, his physical and biological integrality; remaining the air in his purity and conditions of renovation; looking at each aspect of the nature like one of a kind; appreciating his beauty and peculiarity; orientating the whole intervention in the territorial space for the environmental care; introducing productive activities with environmental and social responsibility; developing technologies appropriated to the nature, to the community and his culture, appropriate to the life. The question is: if we already know about everything why aren’t we doing it? What prevents us from acting in accordance with what we now intellectually? What causes this lethargy that bars the change of mentality that takes the sustenance of the life to a priority?
